Forest of Change « Result #1 on Apr 4, 2008, 6:18pm »
Three children… one forest… a raging battle of good and evil. Who knows what will happen?
“C’mon slowpokes! Hurry up! Last one there’s a rotten egg!” a young girl shouted to her two companions who lagged behind her. The three children, the oldest being just over ten and the youngest being seven, were from the small town’s orphanage. The headmistress had planned a picnic for the day, as long as children agreed to behave and stay away from the woods. Of course all the children agreed, smiling up at her with bright faces, but the dark shadowy forest was too much of a temptation. Sneaking away from the group was easy; the headmistress had twenty other children to watch. The three ran to the forest’s edge, giddy with the excitement that comes with breaking rules. The forest was foreboding but filled each child with a different emotion. Passion, ferocity, and joy. The three looked nervously at each other, giggling a bit, innocent to the danger that lurked yards beyond them. Grasping each other’s hands, they stepped forward into the foliage and beyond….
Swallowed by darkness, the children panicked, suddenly thinking this wasn’t such a great idea. Finally a sliver of sunlight broke through the darkness, allowing their eyes to adjust to the darkness. The girl stared at her friends, and screamed.
When one passes through the Forest of Change, they age ten years… or so the children first thought. After realizing that had happened the children (well, now adults) tried to find the edge of the forest to return to their picnic, but they had been swallowed by the darkness. Later they came to learn that those who enter not only grow ten years older, but also are immortal, meaning they can die from a wound or from an attack, but they cannot die from sickness. They also acquire new talents, or, as they are commonly referred to, magical powers. The only way they can return is by completing their destiny… whatever the hell that means.
Meanwhile, in the forest, people who have been born there, or trapped many years before are on the verge of war. The only trouble is, the line between “good” and “evil” is entirely twisted; picking sides isn’t easy. Those who try to remain out of the battle are swept along anyways. The children have no knowledge of fighting; they’re no strangers to being treated horribly, but fighting back was something they never did.
Each day the war grows and alliances change; friendships broken and made. …Complete your Destiny.

Jacky was only two years old when she and her mother were tossed into the streets. Jacky, however, was spared and set into the countryside, to a local orphanage. By the time Jacky turned seven, she was a feisty and wild young girl, always ready to break the next set of rules.
It was Jacky’s idea to try to enter the forest. When she came to the other side, she was a young woman of seventeen, dressed in tight leather buckskin leggings with a loose white shirt over which she wore a tightly-fitted vest. While this new world frightens her slightly, she is good at hiding her fear. The forest instills a passion in her heart that she can’t deny. Jacky wants to fight, although she doesn’t know how, although she marvels at the power she now possesses.
Unfaithful Death Eater « Result #2 on Apr 4, 2008, 6:16pm »
It began with a girl who defied her mother, her father, and the most powerful wizard in the world. She was never mentioned throughout all of wizarding history, in order to protect her from their wrath, but now you will hear her story unfold before you…
In a dark castle, alone in a poorly lit room, a young woman lay in bed, her skin glistening with sweat. She panted slightly, clutching the soiled bedsheets in her fists. A shudder ran through her body and she moaned in agony. Through her throbbing pain, she smirked, thinking how much she- as His most faithful servant- as endured, but how she was brought to her knees by giving birth to a child.
A dark figure appeared in the doorway just as a final shudder shook Bellatrix's body. "Is he ready yet?" he hissed as he entered the room. Bellatrix reached for the crying child and frowned. "It's a girl," she informed him. The Dark Lord was careful to cloak his disappointment. "Perhaps she will be like you," he said with a cruel smile, although both of them knew girls rarely became Death Eaters.
Bellatrix wrapped the child in a warm woolen cloth as the Dark Lord watched carefully. "What are you naming her?" he asked. They both knew he didn't truly care what the child was called from the tone of his voice, but Bellatrix answered him anyways. "Aurora," she answered, smiling softly as the child shook her tiny fists in the Dark Lord's direction. "Ah…" Voldemort mused, "That reminds me…" he said, although he never actually forgot; this was the reason he came.
He got up and made his way over to the large fireplace that flickered with dying flames. Drawing out his wand, he placed it in the embers, murmuring a spell. Bellatrix watched silently as the tip grew hot, and, when Voldemort removed it from the flames, saw it turn green. He walked slowly back to the bed and grabbed the child's wrist, pointing the wand at it. With a silent spell, the emerald fire spewed out of the tip, spreading on the child's arm. The girl watched with wide eyes as the skull and snake appeared on her arm, before bursting into tears. Voldemort frowned, but Bellatrix drew the child closer to her. "She's hungry," she said quickly, placing the girl to her breast.
Voldemort put his wand away, satisfied. "She will be faithful," Bellatrix confirmed.
Ever since Aurora could hold a wand, Bellatrix taught her the secrets of the Dark Arts, but although Rory could perform the unforgivable curses to her mother's expectations, the Death Eater-to-be never showed any interest in serving Voldemort. If not for Bellatrix's protection, the Dark Lord would have killed Aurora for her defiance.
Then, after several years of training in the Dark Arts, Voldemort openly began his take over of the wizarding world, with Bellatrix as his most loyal fighter. Then the real murder began. Rory was never comfortable with Voldemort and her mother's obsess with the Dark Arts, and more and more people began dying- wizards and muggles alike.
Suddenly Voldemort died. Bellatrix was in tears, but Rory wondered in confusion. How could a baby beat the most powerful wizard in the world? Rory herself had meet Voldemort, and he was a fierce fighter, and although he was impatient, he was a good wizard and wasn't one to accidentally kill himself.
Bellatrix continued Voldemort's mission for several years after, but shortly after torturing the Longbottoms into a mentally ill state, Rory knew she had to do something. Bellatrix came to pick up her daughter for Christmas Break, but instead of meeting just seven-year-old Rory, Bellatrix found herself faced with at least twenty aurors and dementors. Although Bellatrix wasn't about to go down without a fight, she managed to kill at least three wizards before she was finally outnumbered.
Azkaban. Wizard Prison. Bellatrix never imagined being sent there, especially not by her own daughter…
The last image Bellatrix saw before being taken away by the dementors to Azkaban was the face of her daughter. Rory made no motion to stop her mother's imprisonment. In fact, she caused it. Bellatrix's mind was scarred with the face of her daughter for many long years in Azkaban, the memory of being dragged away while her daughter watched, glad to finally be free, branded into her mind forever…
In order to protect Rory from her father's wrath, the Ministry of Magic decided to send Rory to Hogwarts. She had been taught all the spells she needed to know by Bellatrix, and after displaying what she knew for Dumbledore, he chose to place her with the fourth years.
Rory was told that, for her own safety, she was to lay low for a while, and was not allowed to go to Hogsmede either. Rory agreed, but the day before she left for the Hogwarts Express, she discovered that the famous Harry Potter was to be in her year. Of course Rory has barely been able to contain her curiosity about the Boy Who Lived; she would have become a Death Eater if not for him.
Yet after thirteen years, Voldemort is on the move again. Nobody but Wormtail and Nagini knows of his return, but it won't be long…
And after seven years of imprisonment, Bellatrix is ready for her revenge.
I know this has already been really long, but bare with me for a bit longer…

Bio: {{Unless your character is original (which is allowed and encouraged), having a bio for your character will not be required, since we all know about the Boy Who Lived}}
Centuries before humans dominated the earth, there were two powerful races of creatures ruling the planet. But some of these creatures turned away from the darkness, forcing their brothers and kin into exile. These creatures were weak and lost their immortality, but their power was in their numbers- they quickly populated the earth in massive quantities. These were the first humans.
They were a foolish and arrogant race, often fighting among themselves. While they conquered land from each other, they turned their original races against each other, in a desperate struggle for blood.
Vampires and werewolves. Sworn enemies for thousands of generations.
The year is 1583. In a small tavern in northwestern Germany leaders of these two races will meet in peace for the first time since mortals reigned. Human blood is becoming harder and harder to get, for hunters and slayers of vampires and werewolves alike are wiping out these two races. With the alliance of these mighty warriors, humans will regret the day they drove their brothers away…
History: Jydain was born a werewolf. Her mother was bitten at a young age, and has no recollection of even being human- it was likely she was bitten as an infant. Her mother, however, fell in love with a mortal. Although their love was forbidden, their passion was unmatchable. However Jay’s mother didn’t tell her lover about her being a werewolf, and soon after Jydain’s birth, Jay’s father found out and freaked. Her mother had expected that her lover would understand, for, after all, in order to be together they had gone through so much. But when he ran, abandoning Jydain and her mother, her mother, filled with rage and the anger that comes with being a werewolf and with being a woman, attacked the man killed him. However her lover’s family hired slayers to kill Jydain’s mother, and she did not live to see another day. Jay has always been filled with hate for humans, ever since the death of her mother, and feels no remorse in killing, and is eager to make an alliance with the vampires. Although her mother died when she was young, Jydain was still taught how control her powers. The only time she cannot is at the full moon of each month. But otherwise Jydain can shift into her wolf form whenever she wishes. She can also summon wolves to her when she wishes. Like those of her race, Jydain in naturally strong and swift, although the lust for blood Jydain has is unnaturally strong.
Eavesdropping and Eating « Result #4 on Jan 7, 2008, 6:43pm »
On the edge of a small, non-bender village sat a small tavern. A few dim lights lit the dirt road that led to the pub, but for the most part it was dark and silent, save for the gentle panting of a dog. Actually, the creature was a half-wolf, half-eagle, with its broad wings folded on its back. The animal followed his master into the tavern, a young woman with long chestnut-brown hair. Kanae sauntered into the quiet tavern, and few looked up at her arrival. “No animals,” the landlord told Kanae. She pouted slightly, but nodded. “Skyron,” she whispered to the animal, bending to eye-level with him, “wait outside.” He whined softly, not wanting to leave his master. “Sorry boy,” Kanae said with an apologetic glance. Taking a seat at the bar, Kanae ordered a small meal, consisting of a watered down soup and a stale piece of bread. She grimaced, but at least it was better than what she was used to eating over the past couple days. Waiting until the landlord’s back was turned, Kanae lifted the bread with her airbending, and set it out the window to Skyron. The wolf-eagle barked his approval, though they both knew he preferred meat. Listening to the quiet talk of the people who occupied the tavern, Kanae was able to make out a few words. “Tonight?” “No… new moon…” Inching closer, Kanae tried to catch more of the whispers, but all that was said was lost in the wind.
General Roleplaying Rules « Result #5 on Jan 7, 2008, 6:19pm »
Okay, I know most of you are used to the general rules of roleplaying, but I still think it's important to lay them out here:
Please do not powerplay (PP). This is when you used other people’s characters that aren’t yours. Of course you can use and speak for multiple characters in one post, but they must be yours, and yours only. Making another user’s character speak or fight is powerplaying, and is not allowed. You also cannot kill another character, unless you get specific permission from the person before hand. No god-moding is allowed. This is when your character is perfect- never gets hurt, always wins battles, and is basically, a god! No character is not allowed to be immortal, but if you feel very strongly about it, you must PM me about it first! But unless you get permission, your character can have no immortal powers (ie, your character can be killed in battle, or from posion, etc, but cannot die of old age, etc). If you are in a tread with several other people, and one of the members has gone on vacation or has been absent for a while, please wait for them in the tread, and do not go too far ahead without them. It’s no fun to come back from vacation and discover that the tread you were in had launched into full attack without your knowing! Please don’t post one-liners. If you are in a conversation with another character, don’t just say, “Hi.” “How’s it going,” etc. Mention your character’s thoughts and emotions, and get descriptive about the setting, if need more detail to add to your post. Don’t wait a million years to jump into a tread. Just start it and wait for others to join- honestly, it’s really not that hard!
I hope this clears any confusion up. If you still have questions, please PM/email me-- thanks!
You are a Firebender! Nation: Fire Nation Martial Arts Style: Northern Shaolin Kung Fu Opposing Bending Art: Water Notable Firebenders: Prince Zuko, General Iroh, Princess Azula Firebending has few defensive moves aside from blocking and dodging, although master firebenders are able to create walls of fire to absorb incoming attacks. Firebending uses concentrated barrages of fire to overwhelm opponents before striking a fatal blow. Firebenders use their internal body heat as a source of their bending to create fire. This facet of Firebending is in sharp contrast to the other bending arts, which manipulate already present representations of their element.Firebenders can control the intensity of their Firebending, reflected in the color of the flames. Master Firebenders are skilled enough to create highly-efficient flames that look blue or light blue, with red and orange flames representing lesser forms of Firebending. With blue fire, a Firebender is able to pulverize solid rock with compact fireballs, and can cleanly slice or pierce through various other solid objects with fiery wisps. Also known as "the cold-blooded fire", certain powerful Firebenders are able to generate and manipulate lightning. It is said that true Firebending power comes not from physical size nor strength, but rather from the very control of one's breath. Firebender discipline stresses self-control and breath control as a means of directing and containing the fire manifested. Poor breath control means dangerously poor control of any fire generated. Due to its aggressive nature, it traditionally lacks defensive techiques, which can leave a bender considerably vulnerable to attacks.
